Higher Education Act of 1965
Part of President Johnson's Great Society ideology, the act was intended to increase the amount of federal money given to universities, created new scholarships, and gave low-interest student loans. It also established the National Teachers Corps.
The act has been reauthorized in 1968, 1972, 1976, 1980, 1986, 1992, 1998, and 2008.

Elementary and Secondary Education Act of 1965
Providing federal funding to primary and secondary education, the funds were authorized for professional development programs, instructional materials, and parental involvement promotions. Emphasizing the need to have equal access to education and aiming to shorten the achievement gaps between students by providing federal funding , the act supported schools with students from impoverished families.
This has been reauthorized multiple times with new amendments such as the Bilingual Education Act, Equal Educational Opportunities Act of 1974, and the No Child Left Behind Act.
